There are thousands of different cultures and languages in this planet. Thanks to translation human beings have the power to transmit their thoughts and feelings all around the world which would not be possible without the help of a translator. In the translation field, the work of a translator is very significant because he/she is responsible for communicating the thoughts and ideas of two different languages and cultures. The main purpose of a translator is to make the reader feel that the text which he/she is reading was written in his own native language. This monographic study is a creation of an English-Spanish translation of documentation that is used for a course in which the Spanish speaking people who work in a specific area will find the information in their own language. By reading this text, the researcher can notice the strong and the big importance that directly or indirectly tourism has in the way of life of most of the people who live and work in Cozumel. In fact, tourism can be considered the most important source of work in the Island. The Cozumel Island is one of the most famous places that thousands of tourists all around the world visit everyday because of its reef, beaches, culture, traditions among other things.
