Translation of thw didactic text: Teaching Fourth anda Fifth Graders to Evaluate Information Sources During Text Comprehension.
Abstract
This work will be the translation of an article that is about how students of fourth and fifth grade evaluate information sources during text comprehension. The general objective of this work is the translation of an article with a detailed analysis of the techniques and strategies used by the translator. An analysis of an academic document named “Teaching Fourth and Fifth Graders to Evaluate Information Sources During Text Comprehension” is going to be done. To do this analysis the translation strategies will be mentioned one by one followed by their definitions or explanations. In this translation work the translator will decide to write the explanations in a chart dividing it in two parts, English the original text, and the second the Spanish translation; also the page number will be given in order to better identify it in the text; then, after each example, the translator will explain how the translation technique was applied.
